The 59th Annual Dixie National Rodeo returns next year Feb. 9 through 17 and tickets are on sale today, Friday, Sept. 29, at www.ticketmaster.com and https://www.dixienational.org.

The Dixie National Rodeo, produced by Harper & Morgan Rodeo, is billed as the largest professional rodeo east of the Mississippi River.

“We are excited to announce this year’s entertainment lineup for the annual Dixie National Rodeo,” said Andy Gipson Mississippi Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce. “As we’ve seen shows sell out quickly in years past, I encourage the public to purchase their tickets in advance.”

The 164th annual Mississippi State Fair will return to Jackson Oct. 5 and run through Oct. 15 where fairgoers can also look forward to a Taste of the Dixie National Rodeo this year.

The Taste of the Dixie National Rodeo, a miniature family friendly rodeo event that will take place in the kids' section of the state fair where the attendees can watch live bull-riding, live entertainment and more, will run weekdays at 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on the weekends throughout the Fair.

"This will be an educational event for the public to learn more about how the rodeo became rodeo events that all started on a farm," Gipson said.

  • Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. – Megan Moroney

  • Thursday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. – Sammy Kershaw

  • Friday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. – Corey Kent

  • Saturday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. – Parmalee

Special guest, Forrie J. Smith, will also make an appearance at the Taste of the Dixie National Rodeo to meet and greet fans at this year's state fair on Oct. 7 and 8.
