Want some good news? Watch Adam Sandler perform a coronavirus song and headline 'Laugh Aid'

Adam Sandler is lifting spirits through song amid the coronavirus pandemic, and teaming with other comedians to give us laughs when they're most needed.

Sandler, Whitney Cummings, Ken Jeong and Jim Gaffigan are among the headliners for "Laugh Aid," a livestreaming event on Saturday (7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT) that benefits Comedy Gives Back’s COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund. The show, which airs live on Twitch and on Comedy Central's YouTube and Facebook pages, will feature the performers in their various quarantine states with a mix of live performances, podcasts and looks at new projects.

During a video appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" Thursday, Sandler, 53, performed a humorous tune about healthcare workers and life during quarantine.

After putting on some sunglasses and gearing up a guitar, he sang: "Doctors and nurses will save us from this mess if we get them the supplies that they need. And I hope they save us soon because I'm really, really sick of my family."

He continued, "We've got to build some more ventilators and make some more masks, we've got to do it now so let's all come together. I'm teaching math to my kids and that can't be good for America."

Sandler also urged others to stay at home during the song.

"Stay home as much as you can, make sure to wash your hands, let's make this (expletive) thing go away," he sang. "We love you doctors and nurses, you're saving lives every day. Find a cure for this (expletive) 'cause I really, really miss hugging my mailman."

Earlier in the show, Sandler opened up about how he and his family, wife Jackie Sandler and their two daughters, are doing in quarantine.

"We're hanging out, just trying to get past all this," he told Fallon.

He also praised Fallon for his remote work on the show.

"I've been watching you too, Jimmy, the shows have been great and it does take your mind off when you get to watch something that's happening right now," he said. "Because, man, have I been watching repeats of old basketball games."

As opposed to his typical in-person interviews, Fallon has been hosting celebrities via video.

In March, Jennifer Garner made a video appearance on the show and vented about her frustrations with her parents not taking the virus seriously enough.

"The hard thing are teens and early 20s people and my parents. My parents are the hard ones," she said. "I'm like, 'Dad, Mom, the world is shut down to keep you guys safe.' And they're like, 'We think we're going to go to Sam's Warehouse.' Stay home, you have to stay home!"
