Want to go to a free summer concert? Here's the schedules for the Greater Gardner area

There are dozens of opportunities to catch live music events this summer in the Greater Gardner area.

From now through late August, community organizers have scheduled free summer concerts for all. Here are all the ones happening in the Greater Gardner area along with a schedule of live music at local breweries.

The Ashburnham Summer Concert Series starts Sunday, July 9, with a performance from Jumpin' Juba, a classic rock cover band at Winchester Park, 20 Memorial Drive. There will be a live music show every Sunday at the Winchester Park gazebo from 5 to 7 p.m.

The concert series ends on Sunday, Aug. 27 with a performance by EP Rock, an Elvis and Beatles cover band. All shows are free, and any rain dates will be scheduled at the end of the series.

  • July 16: The Nashoba Valley Concert Band performs.

  • July 23: Take Jazz performs classic American jazz.

  • July 30: The electric acoustic duo Pete & Steven performs.

  • Aug. 6: The American folk-pop band Eavesdrop performs.

  • Aug. 13: Band from Uncle, a rhythm-and-blues band, performs.

  • Aug. 20: Northern Company, a blues and jazz band, performs.

Free live music in Hubbardston

The Hubbardston Special Event Committee plans to host a Summer Concert Series with four live music performances at Curtis Rec Field, 20 Gardner Road, on Saturdays from 5 to 8 p.m. The shows will be July 15, July 22, Aug. 5, and Aug. 19. The rain date for all the shows is the following Sunday night.

Free live music in Winchendon

Every Friday starting July 7, the Winchendon Summer Concert Series takes place at GAR Park, 52 Murdock Ave., next to Beals Memorial Library, from 6 to 8 p.m. Food from Piper's Mobile Kitchen food truck and Pop's Sweet Hearts will be available for purchase. The schedule is as follows:

  • July 21: Ron Morey

  • July 28: The Faceless Hobos

  • Aug. 4: Perfect Alibi

Free live music in Gardner

The Gardner Summer Concert Series started June 17, and eight more performances will take place every Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. before the series ends on Aug. 26.

  • On July 8, the band Remedy performs during the annual Food Truck Festival.

  • On July 15, the Tom Petty and Fleetwood Mac cover band, Gold Dust Refugee, performs.

  • On July 22, the rock and pop band Timeless performs.

  • On July 29, the country band Boothill Express performs.

  • On Aug. 5, the classic country band Traveling Jones performs.

  • On Aug. 12, 4Ever Fab, a Beatles cover band, performs.

  • On Aug. 19, Retro Stew performs covers from the '60s, '70s and '80s.

  • On Aug. 26, the classic rock band, The Big Random, performs.

Live music at North Central Massachusetts breweries

The newest brewery in Winchendon, Bull Spit Brewery Company at 4 Summer Drive, offers live music, beer, food, and a family-friendly environment every weekend.

A Westminster staple, Wachusett Brewery Company, has live entertainment scheduled from now to mid-September. The next live music performance will be on Thursday, July 6, starting at 6 p.m. at their outdoor venue, The Brew Yard.
