Wanda Sykes Booed for Calling Trump ‘Racist, Sexist, Homophobic’

Standup Wanda Sykes took on an unruly crowd in Boston on Sunday night during the Comics Come Home fundraiser for the Cam Neely Foundation. Her short set was focused mainly on the election, and the crowd was, for the most part, on her side for jokes about Caitlin Jenner:

“Angry white guys are in charge, they are killin’ it right now. And all I can think is that somewhere, Caitlin Jenner is saying, ‘S***! I really shoulda waited and stayed a guy. I f***ing jumped the gun on this one.”

When Sykes pointed out what numerous others have already alleged about the newly elected president, who has boasted about sexual assault, vowed to ban Muslims from traveling to our country, and opposed marriage equality in the past, the crowd had heard enough:

“It’s going to be OK, I’m certain this is not the first time we’ve elected a racist, sexist, homophobic president. He ain’t the first one. He’s just the first confirmed one. F*** you, motherf***ers. F*** all y’all. F*** all y’all. F*** you, you, you, you, all y’all.”

A member of the LGBTQ community, Sykes tried her best to appeal to the disrespectful crowd, but the booing nearly overpowered her message.
