It is often exciting for people to go about their everyday lives and run into celebrities; it is equally hilarious when they think they’re meeting one in particular, but it turns out to be someone else. A Walmart employee had that exact situation occur when she confused NLE Choppa for Chris Brown.

The Memphis artist and his friends decided to spread some holiday cheer this Christmas season by going caroling in various public places while dressed in red and green robes and sporting reindeer ears. One of their stops was Walmart, where they sang acapella versions of Choppa’s records “Shotta Flow 7” and “Sl*t Me Out” under the direction of a band leader.

During their performances, while many people surrounded them with cameras up, an employee walked over. “Chris Brown is here?!” she asked, and the 21-year-old rapper played along. Next, they performed an acapella version of Drake, SZA, and Sexyy Red’s “Rich Baby Daddy.” As the employee walked away, she turned around and yelled “I love you Chris Brown!” Choppa responded by singing a few lines of Breezy’s 2007 hit “Wall To Wall” and dancing along. Check out the hilarious moment below as well as Choppa’s full Christmas caroling experience.

It’s been a year of giving for NLE Choppa, outside of his raunchy not-so-holiday-themed vocal performances. In October, he delivered the second deluxe version of his April 2023 album Cottonwood 2.

The original LP was 22 songs before he added 9 more days after its release. This second deluxe version added 9 more for a total of 40 records. The album featured Lil Wayne, Lola Brooke, Rob49, Fivio Foreign, Kevin Gates, Duke Deuce, and more.

Choppa shared his latest single “Shotta Flow 7” in early December and recently released the music video for “Pistol Paccin” featuring BigXThaPlug on Wednesday (Dec. 20). Check out the new visual below.
