‘Walking Dead’ Star Norman Reedus Reveals Favorite Zombie Kills

Norman Reedus stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to talk about his new travel show, Ride With Norman Reedus, but first, Colbert wanted to talk about The Walking Dead. Norman has had a tons of awesome zombie kills over his six seasons, and he claimed that he remembers most of them, but obviously there have been a few that stand out from the rest.

Stephen showed a picture of Daryl (Norman’s character) jumping down on a zombie. The Walking Dead star recounted the inspiration behind that particular kill, saying, “Mike Satrazemis, our head DP, he was like, ‘I got an idea for this, I want you to jump off this one and come down like Michael Jordan.’”

Another memorable zombie kill involved a hatchback being slammed onto a walker’s head. While that alone may sound grotesque, Reedus expounded his appreciation, saying, “I like the hatchback squish … his head went kinda like a grape, that was fun.”

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.
