The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” is off to the races in the ratings.

Per AMC, the premiere of the spinoff series centered on Norman Reedus’ fan favorite character is officially the biggest premiere in the history of streamer AMC+ with three weeks of streaming data available. That puts its ahead of fellow “Walking Dead” spinoff “The Walking Dead: Dead City” starring Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Maggie and Negan, which claimed the biggest premiere honor back in June. Both shows have already been renewed for second seasons.

Furthermore, “Daryl Dixon” is now on pace to become the most-viewed season of any show in the history of AMC+.

In the linear ratings, the fourth episode of “Daryl Dixon” this past Sunday hit new series highs in total viewership and the adults 25-54 demographic. In the Nielsen Live+3 ratings, the show hit 1.1 million viewers with its fourth episode. That includes 392,000 viewers in the demo.

“What a thrill to have this most recent installment in ‘The Walking Dead’ Universe arrive to set records on AMC+ and deliver steady viewership growth over its first four weeks on AMC,” said Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks. “Thanks to Norman Reedus for bringing his ‘bad decisions’ to France, to David Zabel, Scott M. Gimple, Clémence Poésy and the rest of the outstanding cast and to the most passionate and committed fans in entertainment. There is so much more and so many great surprises to come for this show and across this expanding universe.”

In addition to Reedus, the series stars Clémence Poésy, Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier, Eriq Ebouaney, Laika Blanc Francard, Romain Levi and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi. The show is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, showrunner David Zabel, Reedus, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang, Brian Bockrath, Jason Richman and Daniel Percival.

AMC will be bringing a special advance screening of the “Daryl Dixon” season finale to New York Comic Con on Oct. 12 ahead of its Oct. 15 television airing. Reedus, Zabel, Gimple and Greg Nicotero will be in attendance for a panel discussion about the series’ first and upcoming second season.

Following “Dead City” and “Daryl Dixon,” the next new “Walking Dead” series for AMC will be “The Ones Who Live,” which will see the return of Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira. That show is slated to premiere in 2024.
