Walking Dead and Black Panther stars' horror movie gets title

Jordan Peele has signed up stars from The Walking Dead and Black Panther for his next horror movie.
The Academy Award-winning writer and director has announced that the long-awaited directorial follow-up to his 2019 movie Us will be titled Nope, and will be released on July 22, 2022.
A poster unveiled on his Instagram account doesn't reveal much about the plot of the film, aside from including an ominous cloud formation in the shape of a kite over a hillside town.
The poster describes Nope as "a new terror from the mind of Academy Award winner Jordan Peele", in addition to confirming Black Panther's Daniel Kaluuya will reunite with Peele after the success of Get Out.
The cast will also include Scream Queens actress Keke Palmer and former Walking Dead star Steven Yeun in undetermined roles.
Peele has most recently written and produced the reboot/sequel to horror classic Candyman, which is set to be released on August 27 following multiple delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The filmmaker has also signed on to remake another horror classic. He will be producing a new version of the Wes Craven film The People Under the Stairs through his company Monkeypaw.
Unfortunately, it hasn't been entirely good news for Peele this year. It was announced in February that Peele's star-studded remake of The Twilight Zone would not be moving forward with a second season in the US.
"Jordan Peele, [executive producer] Simon Kinberg and the entire production team truly reimagined The Twilight Zone for the modern age," Paramount+ executive vice president Julie McNamara announced.
"They upheld the classic series' legacy of socially conscious storytelling and pushed today’s viewers to explore all new dimensions of thought-provoking and topical themes that we hope will resonate with audiences for years to come."
Nope will be released on July 22, 2022.
