Developed by Anna Fricke and serving as a reboot of the ’90s western drama Walker, Texas Ranger by Albert S. Ruddy Leslie Greif Paul Haggis, Walker is an action crime drama series. The plot revolves around Cordell Walker, the iconic Texas Ranger, as he navigates his estranged relationships with his children and upholds the law as part of the state’s most elite unit. Is there a Walker Season 4 release date?
Walker Season 4’s release date could arrive by summer 2024.
In May 2023, Walker was renewed for the fourth season. Jared Padalecki, who portrays the eponymous character and serves as executive producer, said in a statement, “I’m so excited and grateful to continue the Walker legacy for another season alongside our partners at CBS Studios and The CW. We can’t wait to make Season 4 bigger and better than ever and to lasso even more fans into the Walker family. Let’s ride!”
However, in August 2023, it was reported that Walker Season 4 was one of the CW productions that might suffer a delay due to the Hollywood strikes. Perry Sook, CEO of Nexstar Media Group, the parent company of the CW, told Deadline, “The farther the strike goes on, they get pushed further and further into 2024.”
The writers’ strike came to an end on September 27, 2023, whereas the actors’ strike lasted until Nov 9. Padalecki subsequently posted on Instagram, “Guess I’ll have to shave.” If the production begins by the end of December or in January, Walker Season 4 can come out sometime in summer 2024.
