Walker Kessler named Co-SEC Player of the Week
Following two dominant games against Arkansas and Texas A&M, Walker Kessler has been named the Co-SEC Player of the Week.
Kessler averaged 14 points, 15 rebounds, and 9.5 blocks in the two games. He recorded his second triple-double of the season against Texas A&M, when he finished with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 blocks.
He became the only player in NCAA Division I with multiple triple-doubles this season and the fifth player in SEC history to record multiple triple-doubles (2) next to Shaquille O’Neal (6) of LSU, Nick Calathes (2) of Florida, Roy Rogers (2) of Alabama and Jarvis Varnado (2) of Mississippi State.
Kessler is averaging 11.6 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 4.6 blocks per contest and leads the nation in shots blocked per game. His 4.6 blocks per game are more than nine SEC teams are averaging on the season.

He shared the weekly award with Kentucky forward Oscar Tshiebwe.
No. 2 Auburn (23-2, 11-1) will return to action on Wednesday at 8 p.m. CT against the Vanderbilt Commodores in Auburn Arena.
