Walgreens Makes Attempt To Curb Open/Carry Policy
Reuters reports that Walgreens plans to ask its customers not to openly carry firearms into their stores, following similar moves by Walmart Inc. and Kroger Co.
Other Retailers Following Suit
In a statement, the pharmacy said:
“We are joining other retailers in asking our customers to no longer openly carry firearms into our stores other than authorized law enforcement officials."
Walmart said earlier this week that it would end sales of ammunition for handguns and some assault-style rifles in its retail stores.

Walgreens' decision comes weeks after a deadly mass shooting in El Paso, when a gunman entered Walmart and killed 22 people and injured 24.
