Waka Flocka Doesn’t Totally Agree With JAY-Z’s Verse On ‘Talk Up’

Waka Flocka stated he understood Jay's sentiments, but thinks the blame behind XXXTentacion's murder shouldn't be placed on "the unguided youth."

The digital streets were a buzz after Drake released his highly anticipated two-part album Scorpion. And while the 6-God may have blessed us all with Instagram captions till time indefinite, it was JAY-Z’s verse on “Talk Up” that merited more than a few retweets and shares, namely his name dropping of XXXTentacion and George Zimmerman.

I’m what Meech shoulda been/I’m what Supreme didn’t become

If Alpo didn’t snitch, n****s be like Young

I got your president tweetin/I won’t even meet with him

Y’all killed X, let Zimmerman live/shh. Streets is done.

The audacious line reverberated throughout social media. In a now deleted tweet, Waka Flocka stated he understood the sentiments behind Mr. Carter’s verse, but said the blame behind XXXTentacion’s murder shouldn’t be placed on “the unguided youth.”

“You got way more coins/connections then us, my G” Flocka tweeted. “You could’ve got that job done but blame the unguided youth.”

Flocka then took to Twitter to speak on what he thinks was the driving force behind XXXTentacion’s death.

Despite Flocka’s tweet going viral, some of his followers felt the need to explain Hov’s verse to the Atlanta native.

On June 18, XXXTentacion was robbed and fatally shot in Broward County, Florida. The 20-year-old “SAD!” rapper died shortly after news of the robbery was made public.

Do you think Hov’s verse went over Flocka’s head or is Flocka the only critical thinker in the bunch? Sound off in the comments below.
