Vote for the Tuscaloosa area girls high school sports athlete of the week

There were several top performers in Tuscaloosa area girls high school sports, but only one can be voted athlete of the week.

BOYS POLL: Vote for the Tuscaloosa area boys high school sports athlete of the week

Hannah Kinney, Holy Spirit track and field: Named 2A Sectional 2 track MVP after she finished first in the 2A girls 800-meter (2:48.83), 1600-meter (6:15.10) and 3200-meter runs (13:51.23).

Sydney Elam, American Christian softball: Batted 2-for-3 with an RBI and pitched a two-hit, complete game in a 2-1 win over Winfield.

Kenna Beth Lacy, Winfield softball: Struck out four in a five-inning game, allowing one hit and two walks in a 3-0 win over Brookwood.

Xariyah Hatchett, Paul Bryant track and field: Finished first in the 6A Sectional 2 long jump at 18 feet.

Mary Mac Collins, Northridge track and field: Finished first in the 6A Sectional 2 1600-meter (5:17.71) and 3200 runs (11:19.55).

Amiyah Johnson, Sulligent track and field: Finished first in the 2A Sectional 2 100-meter (12.80), 200-meter (27.15) and long jump (15 feet, nine inches).

Shamiah Sullivan, Aliceville track and field: Finished first in the 2A Sectional 2 100-meter hurdles at 17.49.

Lexi Young, Lamar County track and field: Finished first in the 2A Sectional 2 javelin with 93 feet, six inches.

Hartlie Rice, Northside softball: Batted 5-for-11 with two singles, one double, two home runs and five RBIs at the Northside Invitational Tournament.
