'The Voice': The Top 10 is set after 'incredible' singer was shockingly sent home

"The Voice" fans not only had the power to decide each contestant's song during Fan Appreciation Week, but ultimately decided who will advance to the Top 10.

The 11 remaining contestants performed songs handpicked for them by viewers on the NBC singing competition Monday night and earned rave reviews from their coaches.

But it was not enough to advance to the next round for one singer, who was sent home.

John Legend was flying high after his team survived another week unscathed and all three members of his team moved on. The same could be said about Team Kelly Clarkson.

However, Team Gwen Stefani is down to only two members, as is Blake Shelton's team.

Here's what happened during Tuesday's results show:

Last night on 'The Voice': John Legend 'pities anyone' who has to perform after this Top 11 singer

Viewers' saves

The first two artists saved by overnight votes were Team Blake's Ricky Duran and Team John's Katie Kadan, who said she "wouldn't be here" without her fans.

Team Gwen's Rose Short and Team Kelly’s Jake Hoot, who was the most-streamed "Voice" artist overnight on Apple Music for the second week in a row, advanced soon after.

Team Gwen's Joana Martinez, Team John’s Will Breman, Team John's Marybeth Byrd, Team Blake's Kat Hammock and Team Kelly's duo Hello Sunday also moved on.

Instant Save

The two artists with the fewest viewer votes went head-to-head for the last spot in the Top 10 via the instant save: Team Gwen's Myracle Holloway and Team Kelly’s Shane Q.

Shane Q laid it all on the line during his performance of Labrinth's "Jealous," much to Clarkson's approval. "I really hope America votes you through," she said.

"It’s a testament to how incredible the talent is this season that you are in this predicament, because you are one of the best singers that we’ve had on this show, ever," said a shocked Shelton.

Holloway showcased her signature rasp on Billy Preston’s "You Are So Beautiful."

"It's incredible to watch you use your gift," Stefani said. "You deserve to be here."

With no more coaches’ saves in play, it was up to America to decide who advanced. The winner would be decided by a five-minute flash round of voting.

Host Carson Daly said voters had a "tough choice" on their hands. "This is a big moment and both (singers) have stepped up," he said.

Clarkson added, "I really don’t think you two deserve to be in this spot after last night. … This is so undeserving in my eyes. You are the reason this show exists."

In the end, fans saved Shane Q.

Eliminations

Holloway was the sole elimination after failing to clinch the instant save, but she kept her spirits high.

"This isn’t the end, it’s just a journey," Holloway said. "I’m just honored to have been in this place and no matter what, I’m going to keep going because this is where I belong."

Team count

Clarkson: 3

Shelton: 2

Stefani: 2

The Top 10 will perform live Monday on NBC at 8 EST/PST, and two more singers will be eliminated Tuesday.
