'Voice' Judges Give Advice for After the Show

Monday’s episode of The Voice had the final four contestants performing in the live finale. Tuesday’s episode will reveal the winner based on audience votes. Knowing that the competition will soon come to an end, the judges took time to advise the singers on their lives beyond the show. After Jordan Smith performed, Pharrell Williams gave him some very realistic pointers for his singing career. “My greatest hope for you is that [your] dream is realized, but in the proper way — maybe go to a label that really understands everything that you need and everything that these people have come to fall in love with out of you. You know, not becoming something else, not chart-chasing. Just Jordan Smith.” Blake Shelton offered his humble recording booth that he built out of a closet to Emily Ann Roberts. Gwen Stefani gushed over her contestant Jeffery Austin, saying, “You’re going to make real records after this. You’re going to have the voice that people recognize on the radio. You’re the real thing.”

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 pm on NBC.
