The Voice Season 12 went live this week, and after two nights of Live Playoffs, we now know our top 12. And it’s a very strong top 12!
Yes, while certain manipulative twists and turns — like the completely ineffective reinstatement of the Coach Comeback and East Coast-only real-time voting — were sometimes frustrating, in the end, everything mostly worked out. And now, Season 12 might be one of the greatest seasons in Voice history.
Today, my “The Day After” co-host, Season 9’s Jeffery Austin, and I dish about all of the above, discussing this week’s top 24 semifinal performances (the good, the band, and the Boston), ranking the remaining top 12 (spoiler alert, our shared No. 1 is the phenomenal Hunter Plake), and looking ahead to next week’s competition.
