VMA winners list: Complete results in all categories at 2023 MTV Video Music Awards

The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards were held on Tuesday, September 12 at 8:00pm Eastern and Pacific from New Jersey’s Prudential Center. So who won when the VMAs were handed out? Scroll down for the complete list in all categories.

Taylor Swift led the way with 11 total nominations, including bids in the top categories voted on by fans online like Video of the Year and Artist of the Year. She was also up for awards in professional categories like Best Direction and Best Cinematography that were decided by music industry insiders. Her last nominations came in social categories like Song of Summer and Album of the Year where the voting took place in MTV’s Instagram Stories.

R&B star SZA was next in line with eight noms. Blackpink, Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj and Olivia Rodrigo came in with six. Kim Petras and Sam Smith snagged five. And Beyoncé, Diddy, Drake, Ice Spice, Karol G, Metro Boomin, Shakira and Tomorrow X Together had four. In addition to his competitive noms, Diddy was the recipient of the Global Icon Award, while Shakira accepted the honorary Video Vanguard Award. Find out who took home prizes below.
