Virginia Tech's Justin Fuente says he's turned down overtures from other teams
Don’t look for Virginia Tech coach Justin Fuente to be moving to another school.
Fuente said Sunday that he’s declined to speak with schools who have reached out to him regarding his desire to move to another job.

Yahoo Sports’ Pete Thamel reported that Fuente was one of the top candidates at Florida State to replace Jimbo Fisher. So it stands to reason Florida State was one of the schools that approached Fuente.

Fuente is in his second year at Virginia Tech after replacing longtime coach Frank Beamer. The former Memphis coach has a 19-7 record in two seasons with the Hokies. His salary of $3.25 million puts him No. 33 among college football coaches according to USA Today’s database.
This was Taggart’s most recent tweet. The Oregon coach is in his first year with the Ducks after coaching at South Florida for three seasons.

Florida State, 6-6, got bowl eligible with a win over Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday. The Seminoles will play in the Independence Bowl against Southern Miss under the direction of interim coach Odell Haggins.
Fisher resigned as the Seminoles’ coach on Friday to take the head coaching job at Texas A&M. The Aggies are paying him $75 million over 10 years.
