Viral Hit episode 5, which aired on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, delved into the aftermath of the protagonist’s devastating experience in the previous episode. This traumatic event spurred him to embark on a journey of self-improvement and resilience. Moreover, the episode primarily focused on his triumphant return and victory over Pakgo while exploring the evolving dynamics between him and Snapper.

As seen in the episode, Hobin trained hard for an entire month and also started to take his diet seriously. Samdak said that maintaining his weight is important while fighting, so Hobin seemed eager to gain weight. The first half of the episode featured a training montage, while the other half unfolded the fight between Hobin and Pakgo.

The humiliation he felt in front of Bomi marked the start of Hobin’s training arc. He wanted to become a better fighter and watched more videos of Samdak. The lesson plan this time was “How to Fight and Beat a Regular Person.” The training montage showed Hobin working out, eating high-protein food, and, most importantly, his determination to improve.

Amidst this, Samdak explained that one can’t expect a much growth in a month: consistency was necessary for improvement. Hobin learned only one move, an MMA-style calf kick, in a month. However, he practiced it so many times that he became efficient at using it.

Hobin also learned that knowing when to retreat during a fight was just as necessary. His calf kick didn’t affect Pakgo initially, and both ran around the class. However, the pain accumulated in his leg over time, and Pakgo became disoriented. During this low kick and running around, Hobin delivered another move, an overhand left hook. It sent Pakgo flying across the room and broke his nose.

After his defeat, Pakgo didn’t attend school, but Hobin’s channel gained over 150K subscribers. Since the video of him fighting Pakgo got over 770K views, he was able to give his mother a new dress.

The second half of Viral Hit episode 5 revolved around Snapper owning up to Pakgo’s bullying. The flashback sequences showed that he just wanted to hang out with Pakgo and Rumi. He didn’t want to associate with Hobin at all because he feared getting bullied because of him. However, Pakgo despised traitors more than Hobin and beat up Snapper mercilessly.

Snapper swayed a bit when another opportunity to become Pakgo’s cameraman presented itself. He became determined to survive this hell of bullying by making Hobin the scapegoat. He learned about his address from Hobin’s mother, who is in a hospital bed. However, she told him that Hobin considered him a friend who made school easier for him. His reality was shattered, and the perception of his selfishness dawned upon him.

The episode ended with a light-hearted moment between Hobin and Snapper. The latter visited Hobin’s mother at the hospital with a gift basket. He misunderstood their conversation and thought that he wasn’t the friend that Hobin’s mother mentioned. However, Hobin clarified that Snapper was one of the genuine friends he made so far.
