Viola Davis Says Goodbye to 'HTGAWM' Character With Final Curtain Call

Grab a box of tissues because it's time to say goodbye to Annalise Keating!

Viola Davis proved it's almost time to put her hit show, "How To Get Away With Murder," behind us with her character's final curtain call on Tuesday.

Sharing what might be her last photo ever from set, Viola wrote, "My final curtain call" with a crying emoji and the show's hashtag.

Although, "HTGAWM" has been crucial to her career as an actress, Viola doesn't look all that sad to pack up after 6 seasons.

In the photo, she's seen smiling and all glammed up. Her character's name appears behind her, which is almost euphoric to what's to come for the star.

Annalise Keating, played by Viola, has been an instrumental character on the show.

Her sassy comebacks and courtroom questionable tactics have kept her as a favorite among fans.

While it appears she's ready to move on, Viola Davis' fans aren't ready to let go.

Fans React:

"I am not ready for this to be over!!!" one fan wrote. "The caption is depressing! We don’t want ya to go!!!" added another.

But Viola's famous friends know how important it is to close up a chapter in Hollywood.

"What an amazing run," wrote "Power" star La La Anthony. "How amazing," Holly Pete responded, while both Lee Daniels and Halle Berry left black heart emojis.

What's Next?

ABC announced "HTGAWM" would be ending after season 6 earlier this year.

Fans will finally learn the answer to the question "Where's Laurel?" and Annalise's fate when the first episode of the last season airs on September 26.

While one door closes, another opens for Viola.

She recently made headlines after it was revealed she will be playing Michelle Obama in the upcoming Showtime drama, "First Ladies."
