Add a rubber shoe to the ever-expanding list of inanimate objects that have terrorized Joy Behar since the iconic moment she took a tumble on the set of The View in March 2022.

After moderator Whoopi Goldberg introduced a Hot Topic on Tuesday about ageist criticism of older politicians — including President Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi — Behar, 80, chimed in with a story about how she was nearly taken out by a nefarious pair of kicks.

"It goes with the mythology that these folks are too old to be doing what they're doing, which is a bit insulting to people who are over 70, who are actually doing their jobs and able to do it. Well, you've fallen, I've fallen," Goldberg said, turning to Behar.

"I fell when I was 20. I always fall, I'm a klutz," Behar responded. "I fell the other day in my kitchen because the rubber of my shoe hit the floor, and I went flying. What does that have to do with age?"

Goldberg then addressed those claiming that Biden isn't capable of performing his duties at the age of 80.

"Stop with the beating it in the head," the 67-year-old Oscar-winning actress said. "It's pissing me off, because I'm getting older and I'm failing for lots of different reasons, things are happening and I'm not nearly — well, maybe I am — to a lot of these ages, and I understand the point. What's the solution? Is Biden not doing his job? That's the question I have: Is he not doing his job, even though he falls down on the floor?"

Elsewhere on The View, Behar has recently grappled with a plague of assailants, ranging from her apartment building's elevator, Siri, and Ana Navarro's thank-you notes to that Italian woman she called a "bitch" after she wouldn't let her use the bathroom in a first-class lounge.

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET/PT on ABC.
