'The View' Hosts Have Tense Debate Over Hunter Biden-Trump Family Nepotism Comparison

"The View" hosts got into a heated back and forth after Abby Huntsman said that Hunter Biden's situation was comparable to the "nepotism" of President Trump's family.

"Across the board, it's abuses of power," Huntsman said, "I think it's a pointless debate to debate which one is worse."

"Don't give it a swipe like that, Abby," Joy Behar said, strongly disagreeing with her co-host. "It's not the same thing."

Trump and China

That portion of the discussion was part of a larger segment where the hosts were discussing President Trump's comments about how China should investigate his political rival, Joe Biden.

The conversation escalated and Behar said there was no proof of any wrongdoing by Hunter.

Sunny Agrees With Joy

"The worst thing he's accused of really is nepotism," Behar stated, "Trump's got three... how many relatives are working in the White House?"

Co-host Sunny Hostin agreed with Joy and said, "There's no truth to the fact that Hunter Biden did anything illegal and the other point is that Hunter Biden wasn't a member of the Obama administration whereas Ivanka Trump is a member of the administration."

The whole debate stems from the President's call for Ukraine to investigate Hunter and the Burisma Energy Company.

Hunter was reportedly paid by Burisma to sit on its board and Trump's investigation call is an important part of the recent impeachment inquiry into the President.

Recently, Ukraine's top prosecutors announced that they will review past investigations into Mykola Zlochevskyi, the owner of Burisma.
