'The View' co-host Sara Haines serenades country music icon Dolly Parton during commercial

Iowan and "The View" co-host Sara Haines meets Hollywood stars daily, but there's only one songstress from Dollywood. During an Oct. 18 commercial break, the Newton native serenaded country music legend Dolly Parton.

"Hi Miss Dolly," Haines said before jokingly crooning "Islands in the Stream," the star's fan favorite collaboration with the late Kenny Rogers.

"Islands in the Stream, that is what we are. No one in between, how can we go wrong? Sail away with me to another world, rely on each other, ah ha," Haines sang. Parton complimented Haines' rendition of the song.

Then, the sole Iowan on "The View" introduced herself to the beloved Nashville icon before she fell down into her chair at the Hot Topics table after Parton said, "I know you, Sara. I watch the show."

Parton stopped by the nation's No. 1 daytime talk show during a press tour to promote her new book "Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones." In the candid book, Parton opens up about curating her personal style and how her fashion statements have transcended daily wear with instantly recognizable wigs, memorable makeup and more.

Earlier this fall, Haines returned as a panelist on "The View" for Season 27 of the hit daytime talk show alongside Oscar winner Whoopi Goldberg, comedian Joy Behar, former Trump White House communications director Alyssa Farah Griffin, CNN commentator Ana Navarro and attorney Sunny Hostin.

Her current dream guest? Iowa point guard Caitlin Clark.

"She's an amazing representative of this state. I'm so proud to have someone — not only kind and good, but that she's a force," Haines told the Register in September.

"The View" airs at 10 a.m. central time on local ABC affiliates.
