Cory Monteith’s death was caused by mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol, according to the British Columbia Coroners Service. While the investigation into the “Glee” star's death is ongoing, the coroner noted in their statement on Tuesday that they do not suspect any foul play was involved and at this point there’s no evidence to suggest that Cory’s death was anything other than a tragic accident.
