Video: Watch ‘The Chosen’ Season 4 official teaser trailer

The Season 4 teaser trailer for “The Chosen” was officially released on Monday.

“The Chosen” is a historical epic series about the life and death of Jesus (played by Jonathan Roumie). The series weaves together stories from the Bible along with humor and human emotion. It was created and directed by Dallas Jenkins, who drew his inspiration from the Bible, “West Wing” and “Friday Night Lights.”

While the teaser trailer for Season 4 wasn’t released online until Monday, over 3,500 attendees at the first-ever The Chosen Insiders Conference got an early look at the trailer.

The trailer opens with Jesus standing in the middle of the desert and then shows different clips of Jesus interacting with the disciples and teaching groups of people.

“There are those for whom this will set off a series of events. My followers won’t understand. The Son of Man must suffer many things,” Jesus said in the trailer. It’s followed by a series of clips featuring Romans, Jesus performing miracles and more. In the background of the trailer, the song “What Wondrous Love is This” plays on.

‘The Chosen’ Season 4 release date

“The Chosen” Season 4 will release in theaters in February. Each episode of the season will be released theatrically before it’s rolled out to streaming and apps.
