Video Shows Love Triangle Murder Suspect Kaitlin Armstrong Fleeing from Officers After Doctor’s Appointment

Kaitlin Armstrong's trial in connection with the murder of Anna Moriah "Mo" Wilson is set to start later this month

A video has emerged showing Texas love triangle murder suspect Kaitlin Armstrong trying to escape after she visited the doctor’s office, according to reports.

Video obtained by NBC affiliate KXAN shows Armstrong running in striped clothing on a walking track alongside what appears to be a parking lot, as an officer runs after her.

The officer briefly trips and Armstrong is then seen trying to climb up a wall, the video shows before it ends.

The woman who recorded the video told KXAN that she saw Armstrong walking calmly before abruptly pacing up.

Travis County officers apprehended Armstrong after about a 10-minute long chase outside an orthopedic clinic, the outlet reports.

The video does not show the moment when she was eventually caught, and authorities will not be disclosing any further details on the capture, according to the Associated Press.

Armstrong has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the 2022 killing of professional cyclist Anna Moriah "Mo" Wilson. Her trial is scheduled to start on Oct. 30, KVUE, FOX 8 and the Austin American-Statesman report. Following her escape attempt, she could face further charges, according KXAN.

Armstrong is accused of shooting and killing the 25-year-old Wilson in Austin, Texas in May 2022, the Houston Chronicle reported at the time. She soon fled to Costa Rica, allegedly using a passport that was not hers, according to a criminal complaint filed by US Marshals reviewed by PEOPLE.

Authorities have said that Wilson, a world-class gravel cyclist, briefly dated Armstrong's boyfriend Colin Strickland in 2021 while the couple was separated. Though Armstrong and Strickland, a professional cyclist, reconciled, he remained friendly with Wilson, and the two went swimming together before the shooting, the Austin American-Statesman reported.

Wilson was in town to compete in a race, when she was found "bleeding and unconscious from multiple gunshot wounds" inside a residence, authorities said at the time.

Armstrong was identified as a person of interest in the shooting early in the investigation when detectives allegedly recovered surveillance footage that showed her vehicle in the area around the time of the murder.
