Video premiere: See a trailer of Andrea Bocelli biopic, 'The Music of Silence'

The extraordinary true story of Andrea Bocelli, a boy who lost his sight due to glaucoma and who against all odds becomes one of the most world-renowned opera singers, is one of music’s most glorious triumphs. To date, Bocelli has sold over 80 million records worldwide; performed for Popes, Presidents, and Royals; and entertained audiences all over the world.

On Feb. 2, the film The Music of Silence will be released in theaters and VOD/Digital HD by AMBI Distribution, which details Bocelli’s fascinating journey through hardships to his ultimate successes. Yahoo Music is excited to premiere the official trailer for the movie for fans to get a taste of this extraordinary project.

Directed by Academy Award nominee Michael Radford (Il Postino, 1984), the film stars Toby Sebastian (Game of Thrones), Luisa Ranieri (Letters to Juliet), Jordi Mollà (Bad Boys II, Blow), Ennio Fantastichini (Loose Cannons, Open Doors) and Antonio Banderas (The Expendables 3, Desperado). Additionally, The Music of Silence will feature songs that Bocelli composed when he was young that have never been released.
