Video premiere: Rising star LIVVIA debuts 'Catch a Body' featuring Quavo

Up-and-coming artist LIVVIA — a beauty with brains who is currently completing her degree in economics at the University of California, Berkeley — dropped her hot, Quavo-assisted single “Catch a Body” last month to party-friendly fanfare. Yahoo Entertainment now has the video premiere for the track, which shows off the singer’s strength and power.

This woman is not just eye candy, and she’s out to prove it, putting together a visual for the song that spotlights female empowerment. “Sometimes when I write a song I visualize what the ideal music video would be,” she says. “In this case, I immediately envisioned a scene from an action movie — James Bond, John Wick — because of the story within the lyrics.”

To that end, she did all her own stunts in the video, employing combat training and nailing fight choreography.

The single has amassed approximately 630,000 spins and 345,000 unique listeners on Spotify, and has been added to tastemaker playlists including Spotify’s New Music Friday in the U.S., Canada, Germany, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark, and Norway; Spotify’s Hot Rhythmic and HIIT Pop playlists; Apple Music’s “Best of the Week” in the USA and “Breaking Pop” in France, Germany and Austria; as well as key playlists on Tidal, Deezer and Napster.
