Video Premiere: It's a Gold Christmas With Spandau Ballet Frontman Tony Hadley's 'Santa Claus Is Coming to Town'

It’s a “gold” Christmas this year for Spandau Ballet fans. And we know this much is true: If ever there were a voice made for singing holiday classics, it’s the distinctive booming baritone of Spandau frontman Tony Hadley, whose video for “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” (from his first-ever holiday release The Christmas Album, out on Verve Records) premieres today on Yahoo Music.

Hadley’s holiday album – which includes seasonal favorites like “White Christmas,” “Let It Snow,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Fairytale of New York,” and “Run Run Rudolph,” as well as two festive original tunes – caps off a fantastic 2015 for Hadley and Spandau Ballet. This year saw the official Stateside release of the New Romantic pioneers’ acclaimed rockumentary Soul Boys of the Western World and a hugely successful international reunion tour, plus Hadley competed on the U.K. version of I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here (as of this writing, he’s still in the running; good luck, Tony!). Spandau Ballet’s “True” was also covered on The Voice, and it even soundtracked a love scene of sorts between frat-boy villain Chad Radwell and a milking goat on Scream Queens.

Like we said, it’s been quite a year.

2016 will surely bring more good tidings for Spandau fans, but for now, it’s time to celebrate with Tony Hadley. Enjoy!
