Video Premiere: Burlesque Legend Tempest Storm Brings Lost Roy Orbison Track to Life

Roy Orbison’s newly discovered, never-before-heard album, One of the Lonely Ones, was recorded primarily between January and August of 1969 – a period directly following two devastating personal losses. Orbison lost his wife, Claudette, in 1966; followed by the tragic loss of his two young sons in September of 1968. The music is, as fans might imagine, a uniquely honest reflection of the confusion and pain the singer no doubt felt during these years.

The haunting title track is made even more poignant by the accompanying video, which Yahoo Music is pleased to debut: Legendary burlesque performer Tempest Storm provides an aching, poignant visual story to illustrate the song’s rawness. (Note: Although there is no explicit nudity in this video, it may not be suitable for the workplace or younger viewers.)
