Is There a 'Victorious' Reboot Happening in the Future? Liz Gillies Is In, Under One Condition

Victorious was one of the best television shows of the 2000s. It aired on Nickelodeon and featured stars like Elizabeth Gillies and Victoria Justice.

Talks of a reboot have been in the works before, but nothing has ever come of it. For the most part, the stars are off doing bigger and better things.

For example, it's likely that Ariana Grande doesn't have the time to make an appearance on a weekly TV show now that she spends all her time recording music and performing.

However, 2020 is the show's 10 year anniversary since it started in 2010. It only ran for three years and ended in kind of an awkward spot. It never really felt complete.

It only makes sense for the show to continue and pick up where it left off. Except for the fact that everyone is seven years older with new lives and careers.

Hopefully if they were to seriously talk about a reboot coming out, the entire cast would be able to return for the event.

At least, that's how Elizabeth Gillies feels on the matter. In an interview she did on the Zach Sang Show, she speaks about how she would almost certainly return for the occasion.

However, there were a few conditions. In the interview, she said, "Well, it’s like one of those things where if they used the same kind of sets, and they got the same people to do it, then I’d like it."

It seems like she wouldn't want something different, it would have to be fairly similar to the concept of the original show. So maybe not a time skipped version where they've all grown up. It's not like they really looked like high-schoolers to begin with.

Gillies also went on to say, "If they’re getting all new people to do it, and they’re just using that name, and they’re kind of just completely re-branding it, okay,” she explained. “If it’s good, it’s good. That’s all I’m going to say. If it’s done poorly, then I’ll say, ‘I told you so,’ and if it’s done well then I’ll be like, ‘Wow, hats off!'"

It appears that she wouldn't be as happy to see a complete rebranding of the show, missing all of the original characters. To be honest, neither would we!

If we're going to get a reboot of our favorite teen Nickelodeon show, we want it to be right. Which seems to be the case with Gillies as well.

She also stated that having the reboot be a movie rather than a TV show might be even better.

"I think that would be amazing. I want to do it, I really want to do it. We all want to do it,” the actress shared. “I can’t see why anyone would say no. Everyone’s down [for a movie], and if they’re not, they suck. If you’re the one person in the cast who’s like, ‘I don’t want to do the thing,’ f–k you," she said.

Either way, we're down for the return of Victorious.
