Victoria Beckham has a weird idea of what an after-school snack should be

For many children, an after-school snack might include a bag of chips or a couple of chocolate cookies. But not so for the Beckham kids.

Victoria Beckham has revealed the super-healthy snacks she gives to Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 12, and Harper, 6, when they get home from school.

Taking to Instagram Stories, the fashion designer shared a photo of some pumpkin seeds and pine nuts doused in liquid aminos.

“Seeds doused in organic Aminos! Grilled until crispy! After school snack!” she captioned the snap. “Good for mummy too!”

For those of you wondering what the heck liquid aminos are, they’re actually a gluten-free replacement for soy sauce, which contain plenty of plant proteins and a variety of amino acids.

This isn’t the first time Victoria Beckham has discussed the fact that she likes to incorporate amino acids into her diet. In an interview with Vogue in 2014, she admitted to taking 60 vitamins and supplements a day. “Twenty-two amino acids, 12 vitamins, 28 minerals,” she told the publication about her daily routine.

“And please don’t write that I’m completely mad!” She continued: “I need a lot of energy to be buzzing about!”

Kisses Birthday boy! We all love you so, so much Romeo 15 today!!!! Xxxx

And in an interview this summer, the former Spice Girl opened up about her health and fitness regime, which is certainly not for the faint-hearted.

“Normally, I wake up, do half my work-out – an hour – wake the kids up, give them breakfast, take them to school, come back, do another hour, quickly shower and then come into work,” she told Elle U.K.

The 43-year-old also discussed her health regime in the June issue of Vogue Nederland, explaining what a typical day might involve.

“I go for a three mile run every morning and I work out for an hour with a personal trainer,” she said, adding that her morning routine gives her time to “get to the kitchen to puree Romeo’s avocados.”

It looks as if Victoria will be passing her super-healthy habits onto her kids.

It’s not the first time Victoria’s parenting choices have made headlines. Last year she kick-started an online debate about the rights and wrongs of kissing your children on the lips after posting a picture of her and Harper sharing a mother-daughter kiss.

And in December when youngest son Cruz dropped his first single, it ignited a discussion about whether 11 was too young to be launching a pop career.

But while some may question the couple’s parenting decisions, there’s no doubting the Beckhams are hugely focused on their children’s well-being.

Speaking to the Sunday Times Victoria said that the Beckham children are showered with love and affection, and despite their busy working lives they are keen to focus on being present in their lives and never miss an important event in their kids’ calendar.

#parentinggoals (apart from maybe the after school snack!)
