“It was quite liberating,” Victoria told the FT. “I was very mindful that usually, when I did my filming, I would be controlling. But this was very much about David, and so I took the approach of, ‘I’m just going to be very easy‑going here.’ ”

“People come up and they’re like, ‘We love the documentary,’ ” the former Spice Girl said. “Let me tell you … They used to be scared to approach.”

It’s fun.”

“It’s unbelievable. I feel so proud of what he’s done,” Victoria said. “When he went to LA all those years ago, people were ridiculing him. But he went knowing that this was ultimately what he wanted to build; to really make a difference with Major League Soccer.”

“And so to have been part of that journey and look at what he’s achieved… It’s bloody amazing. He actually makes things happen,” she told the FT.
