Vicki Gunvalson is heading into 2024 with several big changes.

After spending the holidays in her home state of Illinois, The Real Housewives of Orange County OG boarded a plane to Mexico along with her boyfriend, Michael Smith. Vicki apparently wanted to ring in the new year in her go-to vacation spot, Puerto Vallarta, where she owns a luxurious beachside condominium. The mother of two purchased the "retirement" property more than three years ago, after vacationing in the Mexican resort town for decades.

“After spending over 30 years in one of my favorite places in the world, I closed on my vacation/retirement house today,” she wrote in a May 27, 2020, Instagram post. “Other than being with my children, grandchildren… it’s one of my happiest and fondest memories and one of my parents favorite destinations.”

On December 28, Vicki gave fans another inside look at her condo and the beginning stages of its “renovation." The insurance pro began by highlighting the living room furniture, which was primarily green and orange.

“OK, I’m starting my renovation,” she said in the Instagram Story. “I’m over the green and orange. So I got my new rug today, got some new pillows. These (sofas) are being reupholstered to a grayish tone.”

She then stepped onto her balcony and showcased a row of lounge chairs that were covered with orange blankets.

“All the orange is going away,” she continued, before showing off the incredible view. “And look at that sunset.”

Vicki returned to Instagram several minutes later and shared a swatch of a gray and cream fabric that would go on the living room chairs. She plans to continue the understated color scheme in the outdoor area, as the balcony furniture will also be reupholstered with gray and white patterned fabrics.

The RHOC OG then shared a close-up shot of her new area rug, which will go perfectly with the cool gray textile she purchased for her upholstered dining chairs.

It’s unclear if Vicki’s condo “renovation” will include any major remodels or if she’s strictly focusing on the decor. The Illinois native is already dealing with a major home project, as she’s building a new vacation condo in Puerto Vallarta. She announced the undertaking back in July, saying the pad would be finished in the spring of 2024.

Vicki Gunvalson Is Building a New Condo in Puerto Vallarta for Her “Retirement”: Details

“I’m here at my condo that I’m building, and it’s moving along,” Vicki shared in a July 18 video that highlighted the construction progress. “It’ll be ready in April… I love Puerto Vallarta, as most of you know. The condo that I’m in the process of owning, building… [is] going to be rental income for my retirement. So I’m looking forward to that thing getting finished, but I am not getting rid of this one. This is the most incredible place ever that I’ve owned [for] almost three years now, and I just love it here.”
