Venus Williams might be one of the greatest tennis players of all time (see: seven-time Grand Slam champion), but she puts her leggings on one leg at a time, just like the rest of us.

For Williams, confidence begins when she puts on clothes that make her feel good — and her activewear brand EleVen’s new collaboration with CorePower Yoga, available Nov. 1, does just that.

“Confidence is everything,” Williams tells PEOPLE exclusively while discussing the inspiration behind the collection. “It’s the first part of your day, last part of your day, and inspiring confidence is something that’s huge for EleVen. Confidence starts with what you wear."

Now, yoga fans can step into their most confident selves, too, as the collection is available online and in select CorePower studios nationwide. The collection includes sports bras, leggings and other apparel in an “ultra-soft, second-skin luxe compression fabric.”

“This is not only giving me an opportunity to connect with people who are passionate about [yoga], but also get more people involved,” Williams says. “Get more people to CorePower Yoga, get more people just moving their bodies.”

The tennis champion celebrated the launch of the collection at a CorePower class in New York City, where she connected with what she calls “yoga fanatics.” (Williams jokes that the class might have been easier thanks to her own limitations — “you told them that my knees are terrible and my wrists are too, right?”)

Although the athlete says she hasn’t spent as much time with yoga as she would like, she tells PEOPLE she’ll use the collaboration as a way to further her yoga practice.

“Doing a practice like yoga builds confidence because seeing what your body can do for you builds confidence in yourself as well,” Williams says. “All these things are related: moving your body, pushing yourself physically, pushing yourself mentally.”

Williams credits the collection’s Flow Bra and Flow Legging as pieces that make her feel “instantly confident.” And as far as fashion inspiration is concerned, the EleVen founder and CEO says she doesn't need to look too far to find it.

“I think a lot of style inspiration comes from within,” Williams says. “Especially when you’re designing a collection, you have to look inside so you can see what’s in there. What you can bring out.”

The new EleVen CorePower Yoga collaboration is available at corepoweryoga.com and select CorePower studios nationwide.
