’Veep’ Airs Catherine’s Documentary, Reveals Election Results
On Sunday, Veep delivered an even deeper level of cringe-worthy comedy by airing Catherine’s documentary, which she has been shooting throughout the season. The self-important documentary, titled Kissing Your Sister, captured the missed moments from the season as well as the much-anticipated house vote on Selina’s campaign.
Like any good documentary, the piece was revealing. In an interview with Catherine, Selina revealed that she had a mental breakdown, which she spun as a spa day. At that moment, Charlie Baird revealed much of himself as he accidentally walked into the background of the interview while naked.
The faux documentary also captured the moment when Marjorie and Catherine started dating. The romantic moment mostly entailed the two debating whether Catherine was a lesbian or not.
However, the climax of the documentary involved Marjorie and Selina. Catherine was filming her mother’s reaction to the House vote on the election, but it was interrupted by Marjorie, who apologizes to Catherine and confesses her love. The documentary ended with Catherine saying that a tie, like the one Selina is stuck with, is like kissing your sister. However, it’s not clear what’s similar to kissing someone that looks so much like your mother.
Veep airs Sundays at 10:30 p.m. on HBO.
