Talk about a national treasure.

An anonymous office worker with a lot of extra time on their hands dreamed up an unusual way to mess with co-workers’ minds — by hiding photos of Nicolas Cage around the premises.

Posting to a popular online confessional, the prank-loving fan of the “Pig” actor admitted to having spent years sowing confusion in the workplace, all in the name of fun.

“I have, for the past 2.5 years, been hiding printed photographs of Academy Award-winning actor [Nicolas] Cage throughout my office,” the roguish Redditor recently revealed.

The prankster shared that it started off as a little joke that eventually became something bigger.

They explained that in their office, there’s a briefing on a bulletin board hanging from a thumbtack that has been there for as long as they’ve worked there.

“It’s meant to be very important, but I have never seen anyone so much as glance at it. It’s maybe ten pages,” they said.

So the person took the briefing down from the bulletin board, removed the stable, placed a picture of Cage — “crazy eyes and all” — in between the pages of the briefing and put it back together.

“To this day, no one has noticed.”

Since the prank succeeded, they decided to keep it on.

“Every now and then, when it’s slow or everyone is away at a conference, I’ll hide another one,” they wrote.

“I know for sure that there is one behind the calendar, and another taped to the back of a bookcase. There’s a few in the conference room, I’m sure, and in the copy room and kitchenette. I think there’s at least one in the director’s office, though, if there isn’t, that will soon be remedied.”

The poster added in a comment, “I don’t know how many there are, and I don’t remember where they are hidden. I plan to leave this job in a few months. I will tell no one when I leave, and I plan to hide many, many more before I go.”

People in the comments section couldn’t get enough of the stunt the worker pulled.

“This confession was worth waking up for this morning! 10/10 on the confession and work behind it,” someone exclaimed.

“This is the type of confession that I live for,” another said.

Others chimed in with similar confessions of their own.

“I have a photo of Nic Cage with a random woman sitting on an airplane. he looks intoxicated in the photo. I airdrop it every time I take a flight and watch people look around trying to find out where he is,” one admitted.

“About 10 years ago, I worked at a small indie bookstore where I was alone 90% of the time & had free reign. I loved my job so much,” another wrote. “Over the course of 3 years, I put little cutout photos of Nic Cage & various dinosaurs into random books around the place.”
