During dinner, Thom tries to explain to his father why he does not want to be in the same industry as him, and he receives an anonymous message that changes his life from there on.
After meeting Lorraine, his secret messenger, Thom is introduced to Walter, who is the owner of the salvaging company that discovered the artifact and lost it to the Spanish government. As revenge, Walter comes up with a plan and puts together a dream team with resourceful and talented people like a con artist, a logistics expert, a computer hacker, a treasure-hunting partner, and an engineer, that is, Thom.
The cast ensemble consists of Freddie Highmore as Thom Johnson, Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey as Lorraine, Sam Riley as James, Liam Cunningham as Walter Moreland, Luis Tosar as Simon, and Axel Stein as Klaus. They are joined by actors like José Coronado, Famke Janssen, and Emilio Gutiérrez Caba.
