Variety's Awards Circuit - Golden Globes - Best Drama Series

With the Golden Globe Awards being less than a week away, Variety editors Michael Schneider and Danielle Turchiano surveyed the drama series contenders on Awards Circuit, presented by HBO, breaking down the nominees and choosing which ones they'd like to see take home the trophy on Feb. 28. Netflix's "The Crown" is the only returning champ in the category, having won for its freshman season. It then received three more nominations, making this its fourth time up for the award overall. This season it also scored a number of acting noms -- for lead performers Olivia Colman, Emma Corrin and Josh O'Connor, as well as supporting players Gillian Anderson and Helena Bonham Carter -- which aids in its visibility.
