Variety’s Home Entertainment & Digital Hall of Fame Honors Jon Favreau, EPIX’s Mark Greenberg, Universal’s Eddie Cunningham

Variety will honor actor and filmmaker Jon Favreau, EPIX President and CEO Mark Greenberg and Eddie Cunningham, president of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, by inducting the industry leaders into Variety‘s Press Play: Home Entertainment and Digital Hall of Fame on Dec. 6.

Additionally, entrepreneur Chris Milk, CEO of virtual reality studio/distribution platform Within and co-founder of virtual reality creative agency/production company Here Be Dragons, will be honored with the 2016 Deloitte Media and Entertainment Leadership Award. Jonathan Zepp, Google Play’s head of worldwide movie & TV partnerships, will accept the Hall of Fame Innovation Award for Google Play.

The 36th annual Variety Home Entertainment Hall of Fame Gala dinner and awards show will benefit City Year Los Angeles for the fourth consecutive year, and will take place at the Beverly Wilshire hotel in Beverly Hills.

“We are proud to honor these executives and companies who are innovators in the world of content creation and distribution,” said Variety group publisher and chief revenue officer Michelle Sobrino-Stearns. “Our content consumption habits are changing rapidly because of the work of these talented honorees. We welcome them into Variety’s Digital Hall of Fame.”
