Vanessa Lachey Says 'You Never Know' to Kid #4 with Husband Nick: 'The Second I Say No, I'll Probably Get Pregnant'

Vanessa Lachey shares three beautiful children with her husband Nick, but the Lachey clan might be getting even bigger. We got some new intel on whether Vanessa might be planning on having a fourth child with Nick, in the form of a few not-so-subtle comments about family planning. Lookout, 2020: Another Lachey baby could soon be on the way.

The BH90210 star dropped hints to People this week about the future of her family. “Look, I always say that you never know,” she revealed on the subject of having more kids. “We planned on two and I always wanted three, but Phoenix was a surprise for us and the best surprise I could have ever asked for.”

Phoenix Robert, who is nearly 3 years old, is the youngest child of Vanessa and Nick. Older brother Camden John is 7 years old, while older sister Brooklyn Elisabeth is 4 years old. With three young kids, Vanessa assures People that things are plenty “crazy” already — but that doesn’t mean she’s ruling out expanding the family.

“The train of life is not stopping. And what I mean by that is my kids are only getting older and more crazy every single day and more loving and more everything,” Vanessa explained. “We’re very happy as a party of five, but you never know. The second I say no, I’ll probably get pregnant. And the second I say yes, I probably won’t.”

If that sounds flippant, it isn’t — Vanessa’s well aware of how lucky she’s been, and acknowledges “how hard it is for so many families to have children [biologically] or even to adopt children.” In other words, being able to say “you never know” to having more kids is a nice problem to have, and the TV host knows it.

“If it happens, it’s going to be…the icing on the cake,” she told the magazine.
