The former star of 'High School Musical' has been in the news recently for not only her high-profile split, but her new high-profile beau, Lakers basketball star Kyle Kuzma. The link between the two was murky at the beginning, but sources are emerging that prove that there may be something more going on between the actress and the athlete.

Perez Hilton reported the two were spotted at a romantic dinner date in New York City last week, and then the 31-year-old actress was seen courtside at the NBA star's game the following day, only fueling the rumors much further.
These rumors are serious considering Hudgens hasn't been on the dating scene in nearly a decade, and with little to no news from ex-Butler at the same time, its very clear who is making more noise post-break up.
As reported by E! News, "She's always loved going to basketball games and knew people in his circle."
"They totally hit it off and are having a lot of fun, but it's nothing serious," the source shared. "She's enjoying his company and it's a great distraction for her right now. They talk often and have plans to see each other again, but she doesn't want to date him."
Although the signs may point towards a budding romance, if the source is correct, maybe Hudgens is doing simply that and distracting herself from the break-up blues.
E! News' second source corroborated the first's statements, adding, that the actress is, "just having fun," explaining, "She wants to get back out there. She's getting to know Kyle and so far she likes what she sees. He's treating her very well and is a big flirt. It's exciting and new."
"Vanessa has always been a Lakers fan and loves going to games," the source concluded. "Their schedules have lined up in New York and the timing was right. She hopes it continues back in L.A."
Hudgens decided to go for a tattoo at notable New York City shop Bang Bang, where she had a small sunflower tattooed on the side of her breast.
The star shared risquè snaps from the appointment, captioning the post that she shared the new ink on "And to conclude our #thirstythursday Hahahahaha"
The new ink may be part of Hudgen's plan to distract herself while she heals from the wounds of lost love, but if her public face is any indication to her private life, she seems to be making immense strides in moving on past her old relationship.
