Vanessa Hudgens Reveals One ‘Really Incredible’ Part of Pregnancy That Surprised Her & It’ll Make You Emotional

Pregnancy is challenging enough on its own without people chiming in with their unnecessary (and sometimes downright rude!) opinions. Women are — unfortunately — used to being constantly judged, which is why Vanessa Hudgens was surprised about something she noticed during pregnancy. Instead of people coming out of the woodwork to criticize her when she announced she is expecting her first child with husband Cole Tucker, they came full of encouragement and support.

In a new interview with The Masked Singer winner, Entertainment Tonight asked Hudgens what she thought about her former High School Musical co-star Ashley Tisdale commenting on her pregnancy. ICYMI, Tisdale, who is currently pregnant with her second child with husband Christopher French, recently answered a question on her Instagram story about being pregnant at the same time as Hudgens. “It’s very cool!” she wrote, per ET. “I’m so excited for her and this new chapter in her life.”

Hudgens’ response to this? “It’s amazing!” she told the outlet. “I mean it’s really incredible, when you reach a new point of your life, how women show up. And, like, new women have been showing up in ways that I haven’t expected.”

What a pleasant surprise to experience women coming out in full support of you. We love that for Hudgens! She added, “It’s just been really beautiful being able to lean on this community, who are just innately such nurturers.”

And women aren’t the only one coming through with advice. Hudgens’ Bad Boys: Ride or Die co-star Will Smith also gave her some advice. He revealed to Entertainment Tonight what he told her when trying to hide her bump during filming. “I was like, ‘No, don’t worry. You’ll always be able to tell your child that they were in this scene with you,’” he said. So sweet!

The Princess Switch star has also been learning more about herself and feeling more self-confident during pregnancy. In a recent interview with E! News, Hudgens shared, “I have loved being able to swim into new territories as the golden girl on this stage,” referring to her performance as the Goldfish on The Masked Singer.

“As a little girl I was never really great at expressing myself. It’s not really something I grew up around. But lately, I have been on a journey of self-discovery and being here I’ve been able to express myself so freely.”

You love to see it!
