Vanessa Hudgens Is Pregnant! Actress Reveals She Is Expecting a Baby, Debuts Bump on Oscars Red Carpet

The actress and the baseball player tied the knot in 2023 in Tulum, Mexico

It's about to be the start of something new for Vanessa Hudgens!

The High School Musical alum, 35, is pregnant and expecting her first baby with her husband Cole Tucker. Hudgens revealed her pregnancy in style, debuting her baby bump on the 2024 Oscars red carpet on Sunday.

The actress attended the Hollywood event in a black long-sleeved, floor-length dress that showcased her belly.

As she posed for photos and did interviews on the carpet, the expectant mom cradled her bump with her hands. She smiled as she fielded congratulations from people.

In December 2023, Hudgens and Tucker tied the knot in a jungle wedding in Tulum, Mexico. The star shared exclusive photos and details of her private "I dos" in an interview with Vogue.

“[Writing my own vows] was important to me,” Hudgens told Vogue. “I would also say to everyone: Write your own vows and read them. It is the most beautiful thing ever in a relationship to be that open and vulnerable and raw in front of all of the people you love proclaiming your love. It’s just beautiful. I loved it.”

Following dinner and speeches, guests relocated to a different area of the venue where a live band played. Later, a DJ who worked from a playlist that Cole curated kept everyone dancing.

“He included all of the bangers and classics from Nelly to Eminem,” Hudgens told Vogue. “We danced for a while, then we had late-night snacks, like grilled cheese and pizza. And then we had it all wrapped up by 11 p.m.”

The High School Musical alum shared her excitement about marrying the baseball player and showed off her sparking, emerald-cut engagement ring in an Instagram post in February 2023.

"YES. We couldn't be happier 🤍," wrote the couple in a joint Instagram post which came a week after PEOPLE confirmed the pair's engagement.

In the sweet pics, Hudgens showed off the engagement ring while rocking a long, maroon, and almond-shaped manicure in front of the Eiffel Tower.

In the other, she happily held up her ring finger as the two posed in front of the Parisian historical landmark as Tucker gave her an intimate back hug.

While the couple has been relatively private about their relationship, Hudgens confirmed rumors that the two were a couple during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show in May 2021 and revealed that she was the one who made the first move after they met on a Zoom meditation group call.

Hudgens and Tucker made their red carpet debut at the premiere of her Netflix movie Tick, Tick…BOOM! in November 2021 in Hollywood, California. Hudgens wore a white lace dress by Vera Wang for the night out, while Tucker opted for a sleek black suit.

Since going public with their relationship, the pair has not been shy about posting with each other on social media.

In July 2022, Hudgens celebrated Tucker's birthday with a sweet post on Instagram.

"Who's a big birthday boy?! @cotuck is 😍🥳🥰 I hope you don't mind that I put down in words… how about wonderful life is now your in the world. DAMNIT 😉🤟🏽🥂💋 Happy birthday baby ♥️," she wrote.

The Princess Switch star previously posted photos from their trip together in Antigua. In one shot, Hudgens donned a white two-piece, ruched midi dress and tan platform heels with her hair pulled back. Tucker also made an appearance in one picture, in which they shared a sweet kiss in front of the water.

"Just magic ✨," Hudgens captioned the photos, to which the athlete replied in the comments: "Lil shorty 😚."

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in April 2021, when asked what made them click, Hudgens replied, "He's just kind of perfect for me."

"I am [happy]. I really am," she continued. "I think that it's also so important to stay grateful for everything that you have in life. I've been making that a priority, and I feel like it's just been making magic happen all the more."

Hudgens previously dated actor Austin Butler for nearly eight years before calling it quits in January 2020.
