Vanessa Hudgens marries Phoenix-born pro baseball player Cole Tucker in Mexico

Following their engagement announcement in February, Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker have tied the knot in Tulum, Mexico, according to People.

Hudgens, 34, and Tucker, 27, first sparked dating rumors in November 2020, met on a Zoom meditation call and made their red carpet debut in November 2021.

Hudgens, an actor and singer, is known for her roles in "High School Musical," "Thirteen" and more. Tucker, a professional baseball player, is from Arizona and attended Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix.

Leading up to their marriage, the couple shared sweet moments on social media, expressing their deep connection. The actress said she would take Tucker's last name.

Through initial struggles with wedding planning, with Hudgens contemplating eloping, Tucker was supportive of her decisions. The couple's journey to marriage included public celebrations such as a bachelorette weekend in Aspen, Colorado.

Hudgens and Tucker announced their engagement on Feb. 9, sharing the news in an Instagram post featuring the couple in Paris. Tucker is a former shortstop for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Colorado Rockies and is now a free agent.

Vanessa Hudgens' connection to Sedona

Hudgens, known for her role in "High School Musical," has a history in Arizona, having paid $1,000 in restitution in 2016 for carving a heart with her name and that of her boyfriend at the time, Austin Butler, on a red rock wall in Sedona during a visit to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Hudgens posted a photo of the carving on Instagram, prompting a citation for damaging a natural feature on U.S. Forest Service land. The volunteer group Friends of the Forest used the money to restore the rock wall.

Hudgens and Butler's breakup was reported in 2020.
