In the new episode of Vanderpump Rules on Tuesday night (March 19), Scheana Shay played a game of Never Have I Ever with her castmates, ultimately revealing that she took part in an orgy with an “A-list celebrity.” When asked follow-up questions by producers, Shay hinted that it was with John Mayer when she referenced his 2003 top 20 Billboard Hot 100 hit “Your Body Is a Wonderland,” teasing, “Once upon a time, my body was a wonderland. I’ll just say that.”

The 38-year-old TV personality is now married to husband Brock Davies. Billboard has reached out to Mayer’s team but had not heard back at the time of publication.

This isn’t the first time Shay has alleged a romantic past with the “Love on the Weekend” singer. On Amazon Live in 2023, Shay revealed she met Mayer in 2008 while waitressing at the famous members-only club Grand Havana Room in Beverly Hills. She claims he asked for her phone number, though he was dating Jennifer Aniston at the time, and she ended up getting fired from her job because of the incident.

She later claimed on the Flashbacks podcast in 2020 that she was in a throuple with Mayer, along with The Hills alum Stacie Adams. “I was living with Stacie at the time. [We hung out] for about six months,” she said. “We would go to his house in Calabasas, or Hidden Hills, whatever it’s called. It just became, you know, kind of the three of us. We had a little throuple going on.”

Shay says she ended up leaving the relationship because of jealousy, as Mayer allegedly liked Adams more. “I was like, ‘Wait, I brought you into this and now you’re getting more attention than I’m getting.’ And even after he and I stopped talking, they continued talking,” she said.

While it’s not the first time Shay has spoken about it, it is the first time she’s brought it up on Vanderpump Rules, and viewers were surprised by the implication. See some of the social media reaction below:
