Vanderpump Rules Star Katie Maloney Reportedly Didn’t Book A Room For Scheana Shay’s Wedding Until She “Was Sure They Were Filming”

It’s another Bravo room-gate installment. Not to be outdone by such situations as Dorinda Medley’s “fish room.” Or Jen Shah pouring a drink on Angie Katsanevas’ head for taking the best room in San Diego. But it’s not new for Bravolebrities to fight over accommodations.

The newest installment involved Vanderpump Rules stars Katie Maloney and Scheana Shay. Scheana’s entire bridal entourage was trying to squeeze into the same resort for her destination wedding in Mexico. One bridesmaid was left without a room, and the hotel was fully booked.

In a perfectly reasonable manner, Scheana asked Katie if she could buy her room back from her. The You’re Gonna Love Me podcast host previously announced that she would not attend the wedding due to her ongoing conflict with the bride-to-be.

Katie refused. She then had VPR hanger-on Kristina Kelly added to her suite so the girls could have a vacation getaway together, completely separate from the wedding. Except, that the latter decided to show up at Scheana’s dinner the first night. But Kristina’s lack of grace and penchant for a free meal is another issue entirely.

After the episode aired, the bridesmaid in question decided to come forward with details that she shared via Instagram Story. And Us Weekly spilled the tea in a recent article.

Jamie Lynne revealed, “[Katie]’s the one who didn’t book until she was sure they were filming and production would pay for it. I booked in April. I had no say in this being a storyline but the least they could do was get it right lol.”

During the VPR episode, Katie shared her opinion in confessional. She said, “It sucks that Scheana’s bridesmaid didn’t book her room when she was bullying the rest of us to do it. But these are not my problems. I called the hotel and made sure Kristina Kelly could be added to my room and it was no problem.”

Jamie Lynne refuted Katie’s claims that she planned poorly. She said, “During that week Scheana knew Katie was no longer attending the wedding and saying she was only going bc her payment was nonrefundable. Which clearly wasn’t true because I would have bought the room off her. She wanted to go so she could film and get paid. Which is understandable but didn’t make it out like I waited two weeks before the wedding to try to book a room. But when more rooms were released a week later, I got one and all was fine.”

However, Jamie Lynne confirmed that her comments were not out of malice. She only wanted to clarify the situation, not to “blame” Katie for anything.

“I never asked Scheana to ask her for her room. This whole storyline was a surprise to me and I’m annoyed bc I don’t get paid for this s—t lol,” Jamie Lynne said.

Of course, the source of all the conflict was to do with Raquel Leviss. In the wake of Katie’s divorce from Tom Schwartz, Scheana was encouraging a hookup between Raquel and Tom. She also had Tom on her Scheananigans podcast to tease it.

“It is very disrespectful what you have been up to,” Katie told Scheana during the February episode.“What you did with Schwartz on your podcast was f—king gross. You and your podcast should just stop right now.”

Katie continued, “You do not need to talk about the most painful day in my life. It’s none of your f—king business. I don’t care what you think. There is no room for your feelings. There is no room for you in this. Get out of my divorce with Tom. I am really proud of where we are and you are derailing everything. You are meddling like a little troll.”

Scheana responded by claiming Katie gave her blessing for Tom to move on. However, Katie insisted it was a misunderstanding and would never support her ex-husband dating within their friend group.

“F—king each other just because is a little weird. I will say right now, I don’t think I am ready to see that or be there just yet,” Katie said.

Schwartz has stayed out of the drama. He even managed to side-step any comments on his bestie’s affair with Raquel. Though he supposedly knew the most. On that topic, all the Schwartz & Sandy’s co-owner said was to give an update on Sandoval.

“[Sandoval’s] OK, I think. Relatively speaking. I mean, he has a sense of profound sadness, rightfully so. I think he feels like a piece of s—t, and to some extent, maybe he is,” Schwartz told TMZ earlier this month. “But he knows he f—ked up. The whole thing is just really sad.”

Meanwhile, VPR viewers are waiting to see Raquel and Schwartz hook up at Scheana’s wedding. Forget the hotel rooms. This is what brings the drama.
