After everything that went down with Scandoval, it was understandable that Rachel Leviss didn’t want to return to Vanderpump Rules. She was not blameless in everything that went down, but the death threats certainly weren’t warranted.

All things considered, it was quite impressive how much Rachel was able to take. But it seemed in the negotiations for Season 11, the money just wasn’t worth it to her anymore — at least whatever Bravo offered her. So, in Rachel’s feelings of hurt and betrayal, she joined forces with Bethenny Frankel in the reality reckoning.

While many were overjoyed that Rachel wouldn’t be back for Season 11, others were disappointed. Rachel majorly misstepped in Season 10. But seeing Tom Sandoval return, whom many believed was more complicit, felt unjust. And fans weren’t the only ones who wanted Rachel back.

Rachel “had more story to tell” on VPR Season 11

At BravoCon’s VPR producers panel, producer Sheonna Mix was asked if it was a mistake to let Rachel slip through their fingers and skip out on Season 11. “I don’t want to say it was a mistake,” Mix responded, “because she made the decision that was good for her at that time.”

She continued, “But I do believe that she had more story to tell as you guys all salivated over that last five minutes. Like, there’s more to that. And I think if she would have came back, it would have been more rewarding for her, and she would be able to look at herself better.”

Unfortunately, Rachel has made it clear in more ways than one that she’s done with Bravo and VPR. She’s burning bridges without much care for the other side. Like when she elected to block Tom after he wished her a happy birthday on Instagram. Though Rachel might not be on VPR anymore, she may still have a story to tell. Fans will just have to wait and see what it is.

Vanderpump Rules Season 11 airs on Bravo in January 2024.
