"Omg I'm unwell," Schroeder said upon learning of her new distant relation.

It's no secret that ex-Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder is a massive true crime enthusiast — but even she didn’t see this twist coming.

Thanks to an investigation performed by genealogist Dr. Adina Newman, who regularly traces celebrity family trees, Schroeder has learned that she is distantly related to Gypsy Rose Blanchard. Newman shared her findings in a Sunday Instagram post where she determined Schroeder and Blanchard are “at minimum 11th cousins.”

She further surmised that this means Schroeder is “10th cousins once removed with Dee Dee,” Blanchard’s mother, who was killed in 2015 by Gypsy’s then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn.

“Still digging because Gypsy Rose and Stassi are related distantly in a bazillion different ways,” Newman continued in the caption. So far, the closest relatives she has found are through distant relatives of the duo who died in the 17th century.

Schroeder, no stranger to the rabbit hole of internet conspiracy theories, has already responded to the news, emojis and all. “Omg I’m unwell,” she commented under Newman’s post, dropping multiple crying face and skull emojis.

Newman later responded, “I love this for you,” to which Schroeder wrote, “Seriously wild. What a way to end the year.”

In a second Instagram post, Newman added to the family tree by declaring that yet another Vanderpump Rules is part of the bloodline: Katie Maloney. Explaining that Schroeder and Maloney are more closely related as 9th cousins once removed, Newman revealed that this makes Gypsy and Katie 11th cousins once removed.

Blanchard was recently released from prison on Dec. 28 after serving eight years of her 10-year sentence. The now 32-year-old woman began her prison stint in 2016, after pleading guilty to second-degree murder for her role in her mother's 2015 death. Godejohn was charged with first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole after he stabbed Dee Dee 17 times while Gypsy hid in the bathroom.

Following their arrests, it was revealed that Dee Dee had lied for years about her daughter having several serious medical conditions — including leukemia and muscular dystrophy, which required her to use a wheelchair and feeding tube. In reality, Gypsy was physically healthy.

In an interview with PEOPLE last month, Blanchard said that she regrets killing her mother “every single day.”

"She didn't deserve that," she told the outlet. "She was a sick woman and unfortunately I wasn't educated enough to see that. She deserved to be where I am, sitting in prison doing time for criminal behavior."
