Nia Sanchez loves being a mom — but she is acknowledging that her marriage was fundamentally changed after she had kids.

The Valley star, 34, appeared on a Friday, May 10, episode of the Between Us Moms podcast and shared how her marriage to husband Daniel Booko has shifted since the two had kids. The couple shares twins Isabelle Marie and Zariah Rose, 10 months, as well as son Asher, 2.

"There's so many moments of tension and it's the comparison game...'I'm more tired, no I'm more tired.' 'I changed two poopy diapers, can't you change this one?' We both don't want to do it but we keep doing it," Sanchez said on the podcast.

"People watch [The Valley] and say, 'Oh, you're so great,' and yes we are because we have a super strong foundation but we go at each other too, just like anyone else," the former Miss USA continued.

"We just try to come back to a good place whereas the other couples on the show," she noted. "I didn't realize they weren't coming back to a good place after a hard time."

Last year on Father's Day, Sanchez and Booko welcomed their twin baby girls, revealing their exciting news on Instagram.

"Father's Day was extra special this year," Sanchez wrote in her caption, sharing posts of their newborn twins in the hospital. "We welcomed into the world our two little angels at 2:07 pm. Isabelle Marie - 5 lbs 8 oz and Zariah — 5 lbs & 6oz."

"We are absolutely in love and have been soaking up every magical moment with these little ones. We can't wait to share more soon!" She added.

That previous March, Sanchez and Booko vlogged their experience of being diagnosed with "Twin Anemia Polycythemia Sequence" (TAPS), a condition in which "blood flows unequally between twins that share a placenta (monochorionic), resulting in one fetus receiving more red blood cells than the other," per the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

"We're in stage one of that. That was not good news," Booko says in the footage. "But we've been praying that it normalizes by itself, and that's what we're going to check right now."

The video then cuts to a scene of the two joking around and having some levity in the doctor's office as they await the scan. When the video returns to them in the car, both are in tears with Booko cheering, "Yes!"

"I cried, you cried," Sanchez said, looking back on that moment. "We were praying for a miracle, literally. This doesn't often reverse, but it's reversed and we're back in a normal range."

Sanchez went on to explain that their doctor didn't tell them they were near stage two of the complication at the time they were diagnosed, making the reversal all the more important.

"That's when they would have had to start doing steroid shots to develop babies' lungs for super crazy early delivery, like three months early," she explained. "But it reversed, thank you Lord."
